The Protocol

A direction first. A decision with care.

You noticed a change. Your answers and two approved front and crown photos, with separate consent for remote analysis, are needed for a provisional report. That report is a starting point for clinical review, not a product decision.

Take the Index

01 / THE INPUTS

What you tell us. What a photo can show.

These are different kinds of evidence. Neither can diagnose the cause on its own.

You report

The change, in context

When you noticed it, where it appears, and your family, health, sleep, stress, nutrition and scalp context. The Index uses your answers as reported signals, not confirmed causes.

Your answers are not a medical diagnosis.

Photos may show

A visible pattern

A report requires approved front and crown photos plus separate consent to remote analysis. They may add visible pattern or scalp-surface observations, not a follicle count or proof of why hair changed.

A scan cannot confirm miniaturization, DHT activity or a condition.

02 / THE PATH

No leap from report to checkout.

  1. Start with the Index

You share what changed, then approve two photos and separately consent to remote analysis. If the scan is unavailable or you decline, the Index cannot generate a report.

  2. Read a provisional direction

Your report separates what you reported from what the photos support. A proposed protocol is a starting point for review, not a diagnosis or prescription.

  3. Wait for clinical review

Where the clinical pathway is available, a dermatologist can approve, revise, ask for a consultation, or refer you elsewhere. A provisional proposal alone does not authorise payment or dispatch.

THE DECISION POINT

Sometimes the right protocol is a referral.

If your report needs a closer look, the next step may be clinical care rather than a product. We would rather pause than ask you to pay for a direction that has not been reviewed.

If the scan or analysis cannot be completed, the Index does not generate a report from your answers alone. Speak with a clinician if you are concerned.
