Our approach
Start with what you see. Stay honest about what it means.
A change in your hairline can feel urgent. A photograph or a short set of answers can help describe what you are seeing. Neither can tell you everything about why it is happening.
A method, not a verdict
Signals first. Conclusions later.
We separate what you report from what we can observe, and both from a clinical diagnosis. That distinction matters when different causes can look alike at first.
- 01
Tell us what changed
The Index asks when you noticed the change, where it appears, and about your recent health, stress, sleep, nutrition and scalp. Your answers are reported signals. They are not a lab test or a diagnosis.
- 02
Approve the two-view scan
To receive a report, approve front and crown photos and separately consent to remote analysis. If you decline or the scan is unavailable, the Index ends without a report. Images cannot establish the cause, count follicles, or prove progression over time.
- 03
Read the result with its limits
Your report brings the available signals together as a provisional picture. If you report recent illness or surgery, the result points toward clinician review rather than naming a cause. It is not a prescription or a substitute for an examination.
The line we will not cross
A useful report. Not a diagnosis.
What the Index can do
- Put your reported timeline and pattern in one place.
- Show which inputs came from your answers and which observations came from approved photos.
- Make uncertainty and the need for follow-up easier to see.
What it cannot do
- Confirm hereditary hair loss, a deficiency, or another medical cause from answers alone.
- Replace a physical examination, tests, or a clinician's judgement.
- Promise that any protocol will work for your particular cause.
What comes next
Know when to leave the screen.
If your change follows illness or surgery, appears suddenly or in patches, or you are worried, speak to a GP or dermatologist. A clinician can assess causes that a questionnaire or image cannot. We would rather point you to the right care than turn uncertainty into a sale.
